Private Health & Private Clients

You do not need a referral to book an Exercise Physiology appointment as a private client. If your private health insurance includes Exercise Physiology within your Extras cover, you may be eligible to claim a rebate.

The amount covered will depend on your health fund and individual policy, so we recommend checking directly with your provider before your appointment.

Medicare

You may be eligible to receive a Medicare rebate for Exercise Physiology appointments through a referral from your GP. People living with an eligible chronic medical condition may be referred under a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan.

This provides access to a limited number of Medicare-subsidised allied health appointments each calendar year, which may be shared across different allied health professions.

Sessions are charged at normal Exercise Physiology Prices and a gap payment applies.

NDIS

Exercise Physiology may be funded through the NDIS when it is considered reasonable and necessary in helping you work towards your plan goals.

We work with self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants. Services may be provided at one of our Adelaide locations or through telehealth

DVA

Eligible Department of Veterans’ Affairs clients may access Exercise Physiology services with an appropriate referral from their GP or medical specialist.

Exercise Physiology can support the management of chronic health conditions, injury rehabilitation, persistent pain, strength, mobility, balance, falls prevention and maintaining independence.

Return to Work

Exercise Physiology can support recovery and a safe return to work following a workplace injury. We work collaboratively with injured workers, referring doctors, physiotherapists, rehabilitation consultants, employers and insurers to develop a rehabilitation program aligned with the individual’s treatment and return-to-work goals.

Pricing

Our fees are structured to reflect the level of care and expertise you receive. Private health, Medicare, NDIS, and DVA funding options are available for eligible clients, which can significantly reduce your out of pocket costs.

Feedback from our clients

From injury recovery to chasing personal bests, our clients come to us with different goals, but they all share the same need for a program built around them. Here's what they have to say about training with SEPSA, in their own words.
I have been lucky enough to have the support of SEPSA through my sporting journey with personalised gym programs, injury prevention and disability management. The support I receive from SEPSA has improved my sporting performance and daily life.

The team at SEPSA were recommended to me by another Exercise Physiologist a little over 12 months ago. I have never really been a gym person, but I was dealing with a health concern and open to trying anything that might help. I am so grateful for their advice, guidance and the way they have been so dedicated to helping me improve my health and fitness. I have also found the positive and supportive environment within the group has really motivated me to keep coming back. - Mel (Pickle ball enthusiast)

With the motive to look after and play with my Grandchildren I was successfully working with SEPSA already to keep me mobile and active. So successful the orthopaedic surgeon indicated the knee would have others in for knee replacement surgery. With the offer from friends of a 500km walk through Italy with a backpack Chris was confident he could have me ready. The month long walk completely successful. No trouble with the knee and the aerobic work meant I finished each hilly section strong. - Wendy (Adventure lover)
